Our services fall under the coverage of medical insurance, not dental insurance.

As everybody knows the entire health industry is nothing short of a mess and the insurance industry is close to the top of the list. 10 years ago insurance coverage was pretty much black & white. Today, the different variables are all over the map. Is it a PPO or an HMO? What group do you belong to? Are there deductibles? What about co-pays? etc. etc. This is why the majority of practices do not accept direct payments from insurance companies. Sure a few practices may help you with some of the “paper work” but they leave it up to the patient to fight and collect from their insurance company.

We do accept insurance coverage and we never leave our patients out in the cold!

However, let’s talk about the reality. First of all we are constantly pursuing “in-network” status with all major insurance companies. We have this status with some companies such as; TRICARE, AETNA, KAISER, and MEDICARE. Being a provider in network solves 90% of all possible problems and we are able to let you know your financial responsibility (if any) in a timely manner.

On the other hand, if we are “out of network” with your insurance company, it is literally impossible to quote you the co-payment portion of your policy the first time we talk with you over the phone or see you at your complimentary consultation. It is not as simple as submitting a claim on your behalf for total treatment cost. We are required to break down all the components of the treatment based on our treatment protocol (the standard of the industry) and this is no simple task. Add to this that one component submitted to XYZ insurance company may be paid differently than the same component, to XYZ on another claim, based on the individual’s different group number. This is why we are even hesitant to even give a “ball park” figure. It’s a mess!

We ask for your patience and promise we will expedite the process as soon as we can. We will never leave you on your own. Unfortunately, both you and our practice are at the “mercy” of the insurance industry.

“no interest” payment program

Prior to any treatment we will sit down with you and explain in detail, our recommended treatment plan. The total cost (minus insurance participation) and payment options will be addressed.

If needed, patients can apply for a "Low Interest" or "No Interest" payment program in our office. We accept most insurance plans, as well as major credit cards, cash, and personal checks.
